Jason Turner is the Program Manager for iPerformX at Air Education and Training Command, where he leads the charge in enhancing readiness by employing adaptive learning ecosystems. With a portfolio that spans AI-powered learning management, automated scheduling, XR mission rehearsal, and competency-based performance tracking, Jason is helping shape the future of military flight training.
A former U.S. Air Force colonel and fighter pilot with over 3,000 flight hours, Jason’s journey began in the cockpit of a T-37B Tweet and soared through the F-15C Eagle and T-38C Talon. Known by his callsign, “Maestro,” he’s helped train a generation of pilots, commanded squadrons, and architected enterprise-wide learning modernization efforts.
Now based in San Antonio, he balances innovation with a love for gaming, rock concerts, and fast cars. His proudest mission? Being Dad to Kayla (a structural engineering grad student at Purdue) and Raina (a game design student at RIT).
