Jay Hennette

Lt Col (Ret) Jay C. Hennette is a third generation aircraft maintainer. Unknowingly following his father and grandfather into this profession when he enlisted on December 31, 1990 on an Open General contract. He was selected as a Communication and Navigation System Specialist. He served 4 years maintaining C-135, C-141, T-39 and C-18 Aircraft. Separating in 1994, Lt Col Hennette completed his undergraduate degree and earned a commission from the University of Kentucky as a Second Lieutenant Aircraft Maintenance Officer in May of 1998.

Lt Col Hennette has held numerous positions including 27th Aircraft Maintenance Unit Officer in Charge, 8th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Operations Officer, 703rd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Commander, Chief, Logistics and Maintenance Career Management Branch at JBSA-Randolph and culminating his career as the Chief, Aircraft Maintenance Division in AETC.

Lt Col Hennette married his wife Jennifer on June 25th, 2000 and is a proud father to his two daughters Jaquelin and Jordan.
