Kimberly Long serves as the Division Chief of the Cyber Crimes Center (C3), the U.S. government’s preeminent center of excellence for combating cybercrime. She leads teams using advanced technology and modern investigative techniques to address cyber and cyber-enabled transnational criminal activity, including online child sexual exploitation and abuse, network intrusions, and illicit activity on the dark web.
Previously, Ms. Long served as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York’s El Dorado Task Force and held leadership roles with HSI in San Antonio and Los Angeles. She also served as National Case Coordinator for Joint Task Force–Investigations at HSI Headquarters.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Long conducted complex investigations targeting human trafficking and international arms and technology proliferation. She has extensive experience in undercover and international operations and remains an active Tactical Emergency Medical Services (TEMS) provider supporting rapid and special response teams.
Ms. Long spent 15 years in private industry and non-governmental organizations prior to entering federal law enforcement. She holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from San Francisco State University and completed graduate studies at Seoul National University.
