New York, NY (May 13, 2013)- Following federal mandates from the Obama Administration urging improvements in the protection of critical infrastructure and network security, The Institute of Defense & Government Advancement (IDGA) announces Cyber Security for Government taking place August 12-14, 2013 in Washington, DC.

Representatives from DHS, NIST, Department of Commerce, and more civilian agencies will gather at Cyber Security for Government to discuss the evolving nature of cyber threats, current programs and initiatives, and the latest technologies available to assist in mitigating these threats.

Cyber Security for Government will feature a pre-summit Cyber War Focus Day, followed by two Main Summit Days. Speakers will include: John Streufert, Director, National Cybersecurity Division, DHS; William Barker, Chief Cybersecurity Advisor, NIST; Christopher Folk, Division Director, National Protection, MITRE; among others. You can see the full speaker line up by viewing the Cyber Security for Government Brochure at http://www.CyberSecurityEvent.com.

The summit offers various levels of sponsorship opportunities for experts within the private sector to share their knowledge and solutions with the high level audience of federal, state, and municipal government representatives as they seek assistance to meet the demands.
