Border Management Summit North attendees to tour Detroit CBP Facilities on Belle Isle Park, MI
New York, NY – July 09, 2010 – The Institute for Defense and Government Advancement (IDGA) is pleased to announce Border Management Summit North scheduled for July 26 - 28, 2010 at the Doubletree Hotel Detroit Dearborn, Detroit, MI.
Border Management Summit North comes after U.S Customs and Border Protection (CBP) recently announced the deployment of the Remote Video Surveillance System in the Detroit Border Patrol Sector. CBP will use this advanced technology to secure the northern border against illegal cross-border activity as part of the Secure Border Initiatives Northern Border Project.
In keeping with this recent development, IDGA’s summit features a Site Tour of Detroit CBP Facilities on Belle Isle Park, MI to give attendees the opportunity to experience the surveillance technologies discussed at the summit first hand. Hosting the tour is Chief Randy Gallegos, Chief Patrol Agent – Detroit Sector, US Border Patrol, who will also illuminate the challenges of securing this region’s border at and between ports of entry.
