Colonel Brian Schweers

Colonel Schweers was commissioned in 2002 after graduating from Miami University. After initial training, he reported to Battery L, 3rd Battalion, 10th Marines and served as a Forward Observer, Fire Direction Officer, and Platoon Commander. He next served at 1st Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company from 2006-2010 as a Firepower Control Team leader and Supporting Arms Liaison Team leader.

After graduating from Field Artillery Captains Career Course, he served in 1st Battalion, 11th Marines as Battery C Commanding Officer, Battalion Operations Officer, and Battalion Assistant Fire Support Coordinator from 2011-2014. In 2014 he transferred to Expeditionary Warfare School and served as a Faculty Advisor and Curriculum Developer. He then reported to 1st Battalion, 12th Marines and was the Battalion Logistics Officer and Executive Officer from 2016-2018.

2016-2018. From 2018-2020 he served as the Assistant Program Development Officer and Program Development Officer for Programs and Resources Headquarters Marine Corps and went on to command 2d Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company from 2020-2022. After command he attended The Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy and then from 2023-2025 served on the Joint Staff Deputy Director for Global Operations as a Division Chief.
