Colonel Joseph C. Alexander

Colonel Joseph C. Alexander is an Army Aviation and Acquisition professional. He took Command of the United States Army Redstone Test Center in March of 2023. He leads a team of 1300 technical experts that execute developmental tests for Aviation, missiles, sensors, and other Army and DoD priority weapon systems.

COL Alexander has served in the Army for 25 years and has over a decade of Army Acquisition experience as the Program Manager for the Army’s Blackhawk program. He also previously led a complex Aviation portfolio that delivered various helicopters to over 20 foreign partners.

COL Alexander is an accomplished Aviator that has two combat tours to Iraq where he flew countless Medical Evacuation missions in support of US and partner forces. He also led a team in Afghanistan overseeing Medical Evacuation assets.

COL Alexander received a bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University and a Master of Business Administration from the Pennsylvania State University.
