Colonel Paul Lashley, a native of Huntsville, Alabama, has built a distinguished military career since commissioning in 2001. Over the years, he has served in leadership roles across multiple field artillery units stationed in Germany, Iraq, Korea, Kuwait, Jordan, and the United States. His assignments have included platoon leader, battery commander, battalion commander, brigade operations officer, brigade deputy commanding officer, Global Force Management Division Chief, and Joint Operational Division Chief of Staff, with key roles in the 1st Infantry Division, 2nd Infantry Division, National Training Center, 214th Fires Brigade, Human Resources Command, 75th Field Artillery Brigade, the 5th Security Force Assistance Brigade and The Joint Staff J35 Deputy Directorate of Regional Operations and Global Force Management.
Colonel Lashley is married to the former Karen Lentz, and they have two daughters, Addison and Emery. His academic achievements include master's degrees in Management and Leadership (Webster University), Public Administration (University of Alabama), and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. He is a graduate of both the Airborne and Air Assault schools. His awards include the Bronze Star Medal, the Defense Superior Service Medal, and the Meritorious Service Medal with five Oak Leaf Clusters.
In his personal life, he enjoys camping, fitness, sports, supporting his spouse and children’s activities, and family movie nights.
