Caucus of actors who are military veterans planned for Saturday July 17th, 2010 at Hollywood Post 43 of the American Legion. The caucus will be to prepare a submission for the Screen Actors Guild Board to seek the creation of a Veterans Committee within the Guild. Many other groups have such caucuses already whether they’re based on ethnicity, physical challenges or other reasons. SAG has never yet had one for Veterans who because of their service start their careers already behind their competition who were working in the craft while the veterans were serving the nation. All Veterans are welcome, there will be free parking in the Legion’s parking lot at 2035 No. Highland Ave beginning at Noon. The caucus will begin at 1PM and is anticipated to run until 3PM. Organizers particularly hope that Veterans from the Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts will attend, at least they can meet their fellow Veterans, fellowship with them and hopefully establish the beginnings of a network to share information, tips and experiences. Again, the Caucus of Veterans on Saturday 17, 2010 begins at 1PM is scheduled to run until 3PM. It will take place at the Hollywood American Legion Post 43, 2035 No. Highland Ave., Hollywood, CA90068. The Caucus and parking for the Caucus will both be free, free, FREE.
