VA Healthcare

When top-performing industry partners join with key decision makers at the 2022 VA Healthcare Summit in partnership with the Institute for Defense and Government Advancement (“IDGA”) July 19-20, 2022 in Washington, DC (Hilton Mark Center, Alexandria, VA), the focus will again be on how partnerships enhance the VA’s mission of care.  Secretary Denis McDonough’s, “Fiscal Years 2022-2028 Strategic Plan,” sets the tone for leadership objectives throughout the VA.  What is the nature of the interaction of the VA and industry partners as they address the strategies of, “Access. Advocacy. Outcomes. and Excellence.?”

The commitment of the VA to engage industry partners was firmly articulated at the 2021 VA Healthcare Summit where the message was one of a clear desire to partner with industry to share urgent VA initiatives while at the same time, to learn about the availability of key clinical and other solutions to support VA objectives.  “There was a consistent call to work together early and often to understand health system needs and to propose targeted solutions,” stated Justin Ederheimer, Conference Producer from IDGA.

Why is it important to gather annually for such summits as IDGA has been facilitating for the past fifteen years?  Spending two days together hearing about annual objectives while reviewing top clinical, quality, and technical solutions opens the door and maintains the opportunity for collaborative engagement.  This year at the 2022 VA Healthcare Summit, discussions will feature Supply Chain and Electronic Medical Record Modernization as well as a full day on the Veteran and Family Experience.

Understanding the annual goals and the long-term VA strategies such as those so clearly articulated in the Secretary’s, “Fiscal Years 2022-2028 Strategic Plan” sets the stage for compelling presentations, focused discussion and ongoing collaboration around shared objectives.

VA decision makers and industry leadership will unite at the VA Healthcare Summit July 19-20, 2022 in Washington, DC to engage in the long-term planning for health care success.
