New York, NY – August 19, 2010 The Institute for Defense and Government Advancement (IDGA) is pleased to announce the 9th Annual Image Fusion Summit scheduled for November 15 - 17, 2010 in Washington, DC.

Sorting out friend from foe in the current war zone is beyond tough yet essential to achieving total situational awareness in theatre. Through image fusion applications and platform integration the military has made great strides to monitor this. IDGA’s Image Fusion Summit is the premier forum to obtain the latest in research, development, and emerging requirements within the electro-optical (EO) imaging sphere.

To shed light on the challenges and solutions toward the development of cutting edge technologies that are lighter, more robust, and easily deployable, Chairperson Dr. Joseph Estrera will lead a ThinkTank discussion to include a panel of leading minds in the electro-optical technology field. The panel will focus on the innovations of EO equipment for use in Afghanistan to give attendees the opportunity to discuss operational requirements and share vendor solutions via business-to-business networking.
