Electronic voting for public elections; it’s a concept which is scoffed at in many jurisdictions around the world.Voting over the internet is often met with strong scepticism because of perceived cyber security risks.
However, in New South Wales, the Electoral Commission has developed iVote as a way to enable internet voting using a standard web browser or phone. It’s expected in 2015 that more than 200,000 people will vote using this platform.
