Debris Recovered After U.S. Fighter Jet Crashes in Adriatic Sea

Debris thought to be from a U.S. F-16 Fighting Falcon that went missing on Monday night has been recovered from the Adriatic Sea by Italian search teams.
As nightfall descended in Europe on Tuesday, January 29, a huge rescue operation was under way to find the as-yet-unnamed American pilot.
Major Erick Saks, chief of public affairs for the 31st Fighter Wing, said: "We are still considering it a search-and-rescue operation. We are still hopeful."
