Customer Story: Gould Evans NOAA Research Center

Recently, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration undertook a $102-million project to replace the existing Southwest Fisheries Science Center with a state-of-the-art building that will better support the NOAA's oceanographic research efforts. In addition to staying within budget, the team had to surmount numerous design challenges, including a complex building program, an aggressive schedule, and the need to preserve scenic view corridors to the ocean over the top of the facility. Read this customer story to find out how BIM solutions were utilized to create intelligent 3D models and stunning visualizations that helped the teams quickly explore multiple design alternatives, resolve design challenges, create high-quality drawings and construction documents, and maximize coordination among more than a dozen consultants.
