Haris Riris
Program Manager, FireSense, Earth Science Technology Office NASAHaris Riris manages the Earth Science Technology Office (ESTO) FireSense Technology program, which develops new technologies to predict and manage wildfires and their impacts. Haris has more than 20 years of experience in remote sensing and LIDAR at NASA. Prior to his role at ESTO, Haris worked as an Optical Physicist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center and in private industry in Silicon Valley, and he also served as a Program Officer with the Planetary Science Division at NASA Headquarters. Haris has a PhD in Physics from the University of Virginia.
