Fire GIS Program Lead, US Wildland Fire ServiceSkip Edel works for the US Wildland Fire Service as a Fire GIS Program Lead. He is focused on Program management, supervision, contracting, spatial data acquisition and management, and improving wildland fire management through data driven decisions and analytics. He also works with his team managing interagency GIS projects like NIFC ArcGIS Online, the National Incident Feature Service, the NIFC Open Data Site, enterprise licensing, and geospatial training. Skip is involved as a GIS Specialist in wildfire incident response and the S-341 training class.
