Robert Garcia – began firefighting career over 30 years ago in 1994 on the Angeles National Forest in Southern California. Firefighting career spanned from entry level hotshot firefighter to squad leader and eventually Hotshot Superintendent. Began serving in fire management Chief Officer positions in 2009 from Battalion Chief, Division Chief and Deputy Chief in 2012. Promoted to the Fire Chief of the Angeles National Forest in February of 2015. Since 2012 have been directly involved in developing the USFS Helicopter Night Flying Program, Piloting next generation Hotshot Crews and the advanced mobile technology for the firefighting boots on the ground. Directly involved with developing and improving agency relationships with local government fire agencies for a broader regional impact.
