John Scardena is a subject matter expert (SME) in emergency and disaster management. As a former Federal Emergency Response Official, John has been a driving force in every aspect of the Disaster Life-cycle. John’s service includes Unit Leader and Geospatial Intelligence SME on the National Incident Management Assistance Team- West (N-IMAT West), one of three Congressionally-mandated Type 1 National Strike Teams. John created and developed the first tactical level Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) program for FEMA and acted as pilot in command for multiple Presidentially-declared disasters, including responses to Hurricane Harvey and the 2017 California wildfires. John is the owner of Doberman Emergency Management, based in Sacramento, California.
