Carvil E. Chalk

Director (A) for Aviation Development U.S. Army Combat Capability Development Aviation & Missile Center

Mr. Chalk has served as an Army Civilian for more than 18 years in the fields of Science & Technology and Test & Evaluation. His most recent assignments include Acting Chief Engineer for ADD, Director of Test Program Integration at the US Army Redstone Test Center, and Chief Engineer for the Aviation Flight Test Directorate. Mr. Chalk holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from North Georgia College and master’s degrees in engineering science and flight test research from the University of Tennessee. He is a graduate of the US Naval Test Pilot School, Class 124 (airborne systems flight test engineering) and a member of the Army Acquisition Corps. Mr. Chalk has a burgeoning interest in Tae-kwon-do that he enjoys with two of his daughters and is a contributing member of his local church. He is a recipient of the Army Achievement Medal and the Commander’s Award for Civilian Service.
