Mr. Jeffrey J. Ignatowski serves as the Director, Missile Maintenance and Demilitarization at Letterkenny Munitions Center. In this capacity he leads a team of experts that serve as principal advisors within Joint Munitions Command, Army Materiel Command, and across DoW for sustainment of DoW's inventory of precision guided munitions (PGM) across the joint force and interagency. His responsibilities covering PGM equities include logistics and sustainment planning, organic industrial base strategy, facility modernization, and operational performance to provide the required precision guided munitions supporting U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, and U.S. Air Force warfighting readiness priorities. His portfolio includes PGM system maintenance, supply, international logistics, product support, workforce development, and demilitarization supporting over three dozen programs, spanning acknowledge and unacknowledged programs. Mr. Ignatowski assumed his current position in June 2022.
Mr. Ignatowski's previous experience includes both commercial manufacturing experience and uniformed service. Mr. Ignatowski spent over five years with Grede Foundries Inc, from 1995-2000, culminating as lead Quality Engineer for Grede's prototyping foundry before accepting his commission into active duty in 2000.
Mr. Ignatowski enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve in 1997 and was commissioned in May 2000 into the U.S. Army Ordnance Corps, culminating a 24-year uniformed career at the rank of colonel. He served in a variety of maintenance, logistics, and operations assignments, to include command assignments, at tactical, operational, and strategic levels at Fort Bragg, Fort Campbell, overseas, within the special operations enterprise, and assigned to the Pentagon on the Army Staff. Mr. Ignatowski has over 40 months of combat deployment credit across the middle east, over eight years of additional overseas assignments across Europe, and is one of only a handful U.S. Service Members in U.S. history to have been awarded the Cruces del Mérito Militar con Distintivo Blanco from the Kingdom of Spain.
Mr. Ignatowski's education includes a Bachelor of Science in Quality and Performance Engineering from Marquette University, Master of Business Administration with specialization in Finance and Accounting from Regis University, Master of Science in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College, Lean Six Sigma, and the Depot & Arsenal Executive Leader's Program through UNC Chapel Hill, Kenan-Flagler Business School.
