Director of Space Force Mobility’s Initial Mission Analysis Team (IMAT) US Space Force

Col Jonathan T. Greer is the Director of Space Force Mobility's Initial Mission Analysis Team (IMAT) assigned to HQ USSF, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida. He is charged with staffing, tasking, developing, organizing, basing, and training a new component field command subordinate to USTRANSCOM. Col Greer establishes policies, procedures, mission goals, objectives, and organization design for personnel to eliminate barriers to mission accomplishment, promote team building, implement quality improvements and meet regulatory compliance. Additionally, he is an Individual Mobilization Augmentee to the Commander, 72d Mission Support Group, 72d Air Base Wing, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. The 72d Mission Support Group delivers mission essential capability to combatant commanders through combat readiness, quality management, peacetime deployment, and execution of Airmen who specialize in Security Forces, Aerial Port, Civil Engineering, Communications, Force Support, Logistics, Supply, Transportation, Bioenvironmental Engineering, and Contracting operations for worldwide employment. He advises wing leadership on business processes and performance involving tenant units along with major command, combatant command, and Joint Chiefs of Staff programs for wartime preparedness and deployment planning and execution.

Col Greer enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in May 1991, graduating from basic training and attending the Aerial Port Apprentice Course at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, graduating in July 1991. While on Active Duty, Col Greer's leadership skills were vital to Aerial Ports around the world, including Charleston Air Force Base, S.C., Anderson Air Force Base, Guam and McGuire Air Force Base, N.J. In June 2000, Col Greer graduated with his bachelor's degree in Workforce Education and Development from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill. He commissioned in the Air Force Reserve through the Deserving Airman Program after completion of Officer Training School in February 2004. Prior to his current assignment, Col Greer was the 482d Mission Support Group Deputy Commander where he was a pivotal leader and influential senior logistician that played a vital role on the installation. He has served in multiple leadership capacities at the squadron and wing levels. In addition to his current assignment, Col Greer is working with HQ Space Force, leading a team with development of the SPACEFOR-MOBILITY command, maximizing space logistics and mobility capabilities to support combatant commanders and warfighters across the globe.

Col Greer has deployed to and/or supported Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, and SOUTHERN WATCH.
