Marty Pellum is the Program Director for Talent Management with the Department of Veterans Affairs Healthcare Leadership Talent Institute. He oversees the creation and implementation of leadership talent assessments, succession planning processes, and leader development programs at both the Department and Veterans Health Administration (VHA) levels. Marty joined the VA in January 2011 following a career as an officer in the U.S. Air Force and senior leader with the Central Intelligence Agency. His prior experiences included leadership roles in personnel analysis, recruiting, complaint resolution, training and education, financial services, and human resource management. As the VHA program director for talent management, he drives the integration of succession planning and leadership development strategies to strengthen the skills and readiness of employees in the pipeline for critical healthcare leadership positions across the country. Marty holds a Masters Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Purdue University. He resides with his family in Edmond, Oklahoma.
