Jody Searight

Physician Assistant Department of Veterans Affairs

Jody Searight was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and is a graduate of Pennsylvania College of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. She obtained her Masters of Science in Hospital Medicine from Alderson Broaddus University.  

Ms. Searight has 30 years of healthcare experience as a Physician Assistant and healthcare leader with a special interest in Pulmonary and Critical Care.   She has practiced medicine at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, University of Maryland at St Joseph’s Medical Center, UPMC Pinnacle Health and Riverside Health System. 

In addition, she has 10 years ‘experience with the Veterans Health Administration where she served as successful Primary Care Provider, caring for Veterans with respect and dignity.  As a Patient Aligned Care Team coach, she was instrumental in transforming the traditional care model to a team model with improved patient outcomes and patient and team member satisfaction.  As Director of Ambulatory Care, she was successful in developing clinic models that increased Veteran access and advanced the use of nontraditional healthcare delivery systems to better serve the Veteran population. 

Ms. Searight is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA). She resides in Bear, DE and enjoys life with two sons, a daughter and four grandchildren.
