Jeff Bishop

Jeff Bishop has held a variety of positions with several agencies during his 24-year career in federal contracting. In his current role as the Acting Associate Executive Director (AED) at the Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), he focuses on the execution of all major IT contracts for the agency, which consists of roughly 3,000 actions and obligations of ~$8B per year. Prior to his roles as Acting AED and Deputy AED at the TAC, he has also served as a TAC Division Director, overseeing a division executing 1,200 contract actions annually for IT hardware, software, and services, and as a Contracting Officer, awarding multiple enterprise-wide hardware and services contracts supporting VA's Office of Information and Technology. In addition to his time at the TAC, he has been a Procurement Analyst on the staff of the Department of the Treasury's Senior Procurement Executive (SPE), where he led Treasury's strategic sourcing initiatives. He was also the Division Chief of the Supply, IT, and Construction Division in the US Army's 414th Contracting Support Brigade in Vicenza, Italy, where he oversaw contracts awarded in support of Army activities in Europe and Africa. He began his career as a Copper Cap intern for the US Air Force at Nellis AFB, NV. He is an ardent fan of the University of Alabama, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Finance.
