Thomas Emmendorfer, Pharm.D. has national responsibilities for VA's pharmacy programs which encompass all aspects of clinical and distributive pharmacy practice, medication therapy management and pharmacy supply chain management within the VA health care delivery environment. Functions under the direct supervision of Dr. Emmendorfer include VA's National Drug Formulary, Pharmaceutical Supply Chain, Clinical Pharmacy Practice, Medication Safety, Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy, Emergency Pharmacy Services, Post Graduate Pharmacy Education, Pharmacy Clinical Informatics, Meds by Mail, Pharmacy Policy, and Academic Detailing Services. Dr. Emmendorfer has been employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs for over 25 years and has held several positions within VA during his career, all of which required increasing levels of responsibility over the previous position. He is alumni of the 134th Interagency Institute for Federal Health Care Executives.
