Dr. David Markenson M.D. MBA
Chief Medical Officer American Red Cross Training ServicesDavid S. Markenson, M.D., M.B.A., serves as the Chief Medical Officer of Red Cross Training Services and chair of the National Scientific Advisory Council for the American Red Cross. He is a health care physician executive with 20-plus years’ experience in leadership roles (Division Vice President, Chief Medical Officer, Vice President, Medical Director, Section Chief, Academic Chairman, Center Director and Designated Institutional Official). Dr. Markenson received his M.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Markenson completed his residency in general pediatrics followed fellowship training in both pediatric emergency medicine and pediatric critical care. He is board certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Critical Care, emergency Medical Services and Clinical Informatics. He has been the principal investigator on multiple federal grants, authored more than 50 articles and given over 150 presentations nationally and abroad.
