Chad Kessler, MD, MBA, MHPE serves as the National Director for Emergency Medicine for VHA. He also leads the Clinical Coordination Cell for the VHA COVID-19 clinical response. Chad trained at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia for Medical School followed by the University of Illinois-Chicago for a combined 5 year Emergency Medicine/Internal Medicine residency program. Dr. Kessler received his Masters in Health Professionals Education from the University of Illinois-Chicago as well as an MBA from East Carolina University. Chad has been affiliated with training, education and clinical work for VA for over 20 years. He is married to another VA physician and has 4 beautiful children.
