As an accomplished public safety executive with more than 25 years of progressive leadership experience, I lead complex, multi-disciplinary public safety operations protecting one of the nation's largest maritime transportation systems. My responsibilities extend beyond traditional law enforcement to include police services, emergency management, organizational safety, fire operations, security strategy, business continuity, and executive-level risk management.
Currently serving as Chief Public Safety & Emergency Management Officer and Chief of Police for the Port of New Orleans, I oversee enterprise-wide public safety initiatives supporting critical infrastructure, international commerce, maritime operations, cruise terminals, rail connectivity, and homeland security partnerships. I work closely with executive leadership, federal, state, and local agencies to strengthen organizational resilience while ensuring safe, efficient transportation operations.
Throughout my career, I have successfully led organizational transformation, rebuilt police training programs, implemented strategic recruitment initiatives, expanded emergency preparedness capabilities, modernized policies and procedures, and developed future leaders through mentoring and executive coaching.
My leadership philosophy is centered on accountability, servant leadership, procedural justice, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. I believe effective public safety organizations succeed by building trust, empowering employees, managing risk proactively, and creating partnerships that strengthen both security and organizational performance.
