Dr. Jesse Little

Dr. Jesse Little is a Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and the Director of the Aerospace Research Center at The Ohio State University. He earned his BS, MS and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio State in 2004, 2005 and 2010, respectively. Prior to joining the faculty at Ohio State in 2023, he was a Professor and the Associate Head for Graduate Studies in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Arizona (2010-2023). Dr. Little has made significant contributions in flow physics and control for both low- and high-speed flows. He is internationally known for his work in active flow control and shock/boundary layer interaction having published over 125 technical papers in these and related areas. Prof. Little leads the Experimental Hypersonics Lab at Ohio State, which is home to the largest university-operated hypersonic wind tunnel in the nation, the Large Area Reflected Shock (LARS) tunnel. He is an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and recipient of Young Investigator Awards from the Air Force Office of Scientific Research and the Army Research Office.
