Colonel David S. Lee

Director, Army Multi-Domain Targeting Center, Fort Sill US Army

Colonel Dave Lee graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point and was commissioned through ROTC into the Regular Army as a Second Lieutenant in the Field Artillery in May 1993. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Mathematics, and a Master of Science in National Security Strategy.

His command assignments include command of Headquarters and Headquarters Battery of the 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized) Artillery; C Battery, 4th Battalion, 42d Field Artillery Regiment; the 1st Battalion, 38th Field Artillery Regiment (Multiple Launch Rocket System), 210th Fires Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division in the Republic of Korea, and the 19th Battlefield Coordination Detachment, United States Army Europe, Germany.

Colonel Lee most recently served as the Chief of Staff for the Long Range Precision Fires – Cross Functional Team, Army Futures Command at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. His key staff assignments include: Special Assistant for Fires to the Deputy Commanding General, United States Army Europe; Chief of the Futures Evaluation Division, Future Joint Force Development, Joint Staff J-7; Executive Officer for the Director, Army Office of Business Transformation; Chief of Field Artillery Lessons Learned, Directorate of Training and Doctrine, at the Fires Center of Excellence; Operations Officer and later Executive Officer for the 214th Fires Brigade during Operation Iraqi Freedom; Executive Officer and Operations Officer of the 1st Battalion, 14th Field Artillery, 214th Field Artillery Brigade, III Corps Artillery; Fire Support Observer-Controller / Trainer at the National Training Center; and numerous assignments as a junior officer in the 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized), 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), and the 2nd Infantry Division..

Colonel Lee is a graduate of numerous military schools to include the Field Artillery Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, the Combined Arms Service and Staff School, the United States Army Command and General Staff College, the Joint Firepower Control Course, the Joint Air And Space Operations Senior Staff Course, and the National War College.

His awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, the Army Meritorious Unit Commendation Award, the Army Superior Unit Award, the National Defense Service Medal, the Iraq Campaign medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Korean Defense Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, the Parachutist Badge, the Air Assault Badge, the Army Staff Identification Badge, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff Identification Badge.

Since 2020, Colonel Lee has been serving as the Director of the Army Multi-Domain Targeting Center, at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
