Brig. Gen. Robert J. (RJ) Mikesh Jr. assumed the role of Capability Program Executive Offensive Fires on February 10, 2026. As the organization's top leader, Mikesh is responsible for overseeing five O-6 level project management offices that align with Army domains in the Offensive Fires, delivering lethality to the warfighter.
Prior to becoming the first Capability Program Executive for Offensive Fires, Mikesh was the Program Executive Officer at U.S. Army Program Executive Office (PEO) Enterprise from Sept. 2025 to Feb. 2026 responsible for the Army domains in the business mission area. Before becoming PEO, Mikesh served for over a year as the deputy PEO at PEO Enterprise. In that role, he helped lead the organization's continued digital transformation and implementation of rapid acquisition strategies and Soldier-centered design practices.
Prior to that, Mikesh was the Project Manager for PEO Enterprise's Integrated Personnel and Pay System - Army (IPPS-A) from Sept. 2022 to Apr. 2024, where he was responsible for developing, integrating, and deploying a portfolio of programs and applications that span the Army's human capital and readiness domains.
