Chief Safety and Security Officer FIFA World Cup 2026

G.B. Jones is the Chief Safety and Security Officer for the FIFA World Cup 2026™. He was previously with the NFL, where he directed international security planning for the games in London, Germany, and Mexico. Mr. Jones retired from the FBI after nearly 23 years, where his assignments included directing counterterrorism programs in special event, aviation, and maritime security. He supervised an FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force during the 9/11/2001 terrorist attacks. Mr. Jones was a rated FBI pilot and aerial camera operator, and he holds FAA Private Pilot and Part 107 Commercial Remote Pilot certifications.
