Colonel Charles Seaberry

Colonel Charles M. Seaberry assumed command of U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (YPG) in June 2026. As Commander, he leads one of the Department of Defense's premier test and evaluation installations, providing critical developmental testing capabilities that support Army modernization and ensure Soldiers receive safe, effective, and combat ready systems.

Commissioned through Augusta State University in 2001, COL Seaberry began his career in the Finance Corps before transferring to the Army Acquisition Corps in 2007. Throughout his career, he has served in command, contracting, acquisition, and program management assignments across the United States, Korea, Kuwait, and Europe.

His notable assignments include Contingency Contracting Officer in Kuwait, Branch Chief and Contracting Officer in the Republic of Korea, Deputy Division Chief of Contracting for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District, Assistant Program Manager and Executive Officer at Program Executive Office Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI), Assistant Executive Officer to the Principal Military Deputy to the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology, and Product Manager for the Army's Common Synthetic Environment.

Prior to assuming command of YPG, COL Seaberry served in London, United Kingdom, as Director of the DEVCOM Forward Element–Atlantic, where he led Army science and technology collaboration, experimentation, and interoperability efforts with allies and partners across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

COL Seaberry holds a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership from Webster University, a Master of Business Administration from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College. He is DAWIA Level III certified in Contracting and Program Management.

His awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Staff Identification Badge, and the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (Gold).

COL Seaberry is married to the former Rachelle Ignacio.
