Nick Rinaldi currently serves as a Program Manager for Army Applications Laboratory, a tech acceleration arm for Army Futures Command. Army Applications Laboratory accelerates technology into the hands of warfighters by advancing approaches to innovation & connecting as a trusted partner in the commercial technology ecosystem.
Nick is an active duty Army officer serving most of his career in Armored Brigade Combat Teams at home and deployed. He poses expertise in human factors and application of technology for combat. Carrying his experience into efforts for Army Applications Laboratory, Nick has several active projects to improve the Army’s use and training with air and ground mission autonomy for large scale ground combat.
For a brief period, Nick was able to teach physical education at West Point including Survival Swimming, Olympic Weightlifting, Army Fitness, and Personal Fitness. with a background in teaching physical education to cadets at West Point.
Nick holds a B.S. in Engineering Psychology (i.e. human factors) from the United States Military Academy and an M.Ed. in Kinesiology with Pedagogy emphasis from the University of Virginia. LinkedIn Profile
Family: Married to LTC Maria Rinaldi, AG Officer who’s served as a platoon leader, company commander, BN and BDE S1, USMA TAC (B4 Buffs) and Protocol, Army Futures Command Front Office and Human Capital Emerging Tech Lead. Maria currently serves as the Professor & Chair of Military Science at the University of Texas, Austin.
Nick and Maria have a son, Christopher, he’s 9 years old and kicks butt in flag football, basketball, video games, and is not a fan of doing his math homework.
