Colonel Tucker is from Arlington, Texas. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University and was commissioned in December 1993. He earned a MBA from Valdosta State University, and a Master of Arts in Diplomacy from Norwich University. He is also a graduate of the Army Command & General Staff College Fort Leavenworth, KS, and the Royal College of Defence Studies in London. His command assignments include Bravo Company Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, GA; Motor T Maintenance Company 3d Maintenance Battalion Okinawa; Officer Candidate School Platoon Commander Quantico, VA; Material Readiness Company 1st Supply Battalion Camp Pendleton, CA; Supply Company Combat Logistics Regiment 15 Fwd during Operation Iraqi Freedom; Commanding Officer Defense Logistics Agency Depot Guam Marianas; Combat Logistics Battalion 3 Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii; Combat Logistics Regiment 15 Camp Pendleton, CA; Deputy Commander Marine Forces Europe/Africa.
