It is defined as the fusion technology used for military and has been extensively used for integrated air and cruise missile defenses. Multi-sensor fusion aims at an integrated air picture that includes information from military and civilian air surveillance radars, aircraft-based radar systems, as well as data from civil air traffic controllers and flight plan databases of reported takeoffs and landings of private, commercial, and military aircraft.
