Security and Literacy: Improving and Intertwined in Afghanistan I just attended literacy training — in Wardak Province, Afghanistan. The class was full of Afghan National Police recruits. Happy Thanksgiving, or something like that I guess I just woke up, it’s 1pm. I have an hour and a half to get to the Chow hall to try and catch their Holiday Meal. Instead, I’ve decided to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich (which I’m currently eating), and will go to the gym for a shoulder workout followed by a run. read more
