Obama Speeds up U.S. Troops' Move to Support Role in Afghanistan

Afghanistan will be a secure country after the majority of U.S. forces leave at the end of 2014, according to its President Hamid Karzai. Speaking in Kabul upon his recent return from a meeting with President Obama at the White House, Mr. Karzai assured Afghan officials that safety will not be compromised, stressing the country does not need American troops to contain the Taliban.
