With the allied forces ongoing operations in OIF/OEF, excruciating demands are placed on weapon systems. With the greater need for new equipment in an appropriate time frame, the traditional development and design of MILSPEC items just takes too long. To counter this problem the military is turning to COTS components and deploying systems into theater faster.

Ron Giuntini is a subject matter expert (SME) on Performance Based Logistics (PBL), with specific expertise in forecasting the expenditures of the processes employed during the entire product lifecycle maintenance/sustainment stage.  As a SME, he has worked with such organizations as General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, L-3, Flir, DynCorp, Navistar, BAE Systems, Northrop Grumman, ICx, Oshkosh, Rockwell Collins, Bell Helicopter, US Army, USMC, US Navy, FMC Technologies, DRS and others.  Before becoming an independent consultant, Ron was the Director of Materials Management for a large commercial manufacturer, ran the global service-parts business unit of a business jet OEM and was a management consultant with Booz & Company.  Ron received his MBA from Indiana University at Bloomington, a BA from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and is certified by APICS as a CPIM.  He is also an Army veteran.  For more on Ron please visit
