The U.S. military has denied that its forces have been involved in the killing and abduction of civilians in a hard-hit province in eastern Afghanistan. Officials have responded to Afghan President Hamid Karzai's accusations on Sunday in which he said U.S. special forces troops and Afghans working for them have been torturing civilians in Wardak.
