OIF Reconstruction Efforts with LT Ben Dunford of the U.S. Navy Seabees
Reconstruction Efforts for Operation Iraqi Freedom are of vital importance to stability in the region. Sound infrastructure will provide the necessary environment for the new governement to operate efficiently and the local population to live securely. LT Ben Dunford, a warfare qualified officer with the U.S. Navy's Seabees, discusses his time in Iraq and Pakistan working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in support of the reconstruction efforts supporting OIF. LT Dunford describes projects he worked on in Baghdad and the effects that the rebuilding efforts are having on the local population. He also elaborates on the U.S. plan to eventually turn over the efforts to Iraqi Engineers.
