Question:
I recently joined a nano materials company in Providence, Rhode Island. The company is already producing a high strength, anti-corrovise nanosteel coating that can be applied by either HVOF (High Velocity Oxygen Fuel) spraying or Twin Wire Arc spraying. We can additionally apply a thicker coating for anti-wear and increased durability using a weld overlay technique. We were recently awarded a subcontract under the ONR BAA 10-10 for a thermal management system and anti-skid capability for Navy LHS/LHD class ships. We are in the "e;pre-launch"e; phase of our next generation product with is a thin monolithic amorphous steel. This capability will allow us to produce microwires, fibers, ribbons and thin foil that can be used for a plethora of military applications. One particular application we are looking for is the ability to weave our fiber into body armor for troops. That is one of the reasons I was so interested in many of the presentations given at the recent IDGA Military Armor Protectio event. First, I want to thank Sean Pillai for his outstanding work, especially with the podcasts. Second, I want to ask if it is possible to get the slide presentations from the respective video clips? While it was good to hear the presenter substance, when they refer to their slides and you can't see the slides, it takes a great deal away from the overall effectiveness and value of the presentation. My email address is: rchewning@nanosteelco.com. Thank you and keep up the great work.
