Parity: One Giant Leap to Combatting Substance Abuse
The federal government has taken a large step in ending discrimination and stigma toward those with mental health and substance abuse disorders.
In November 2013, aparity rule was issued stating that insurance plans must offer equal coverage on mental health benefits as they do for general health benefits.
