The marketing team is responsible for promoting our events and enhancing our brand. Core competencies include creativity, commercialism and number crunching.

Once a conference has been developed, the producers brief our marketers, who immediately set about writing copy and creating plans for how the conference can be promoted. Our marketers inspire and persuade, and are constantly searching for new promotional channels and opportunities. Naturally, they work closely with the Delegate and Sponsorship Sales teams. From booking media space to mining delegate databases, every day is different for the marketing team. The team works across multiple projects and liaises with a wide variety of people. As a marketer, the success of each project is measured by the popularity of the event and there is a clear career path for all our brightest employees. We provide the training necessary for promotion all the way up to our Marketing Director positions. This specific senior marketing position is for technically savvy marketers who are also commercially minded to either help launch our Government and Defense training business, or grow our increasing number of tradeshows. If you have had experience in developing b2b marketing plans for the training and events market or tradeshows, this could be a good career development step for you, which can lead to managing a group of marketers who will also develop plans for our products. If you are looking to work with a hardworking yet fun marketing division and grow your b2b marketing skills, please apply now to alexa.deaton@idga.org
