Cemetery Review Finds Veterans’ and Families’ Remains Buried in Wrong Places
A review of all the graves in America’s national cemeteries uncovered 15 sets of remains that were buried in the wrong places and 800 other problems, the Department of Veterans Affairs has revealed.
The announcement, which declared that most of the issues involved incorrectly marked or unmarked graves, came after the VA’s Inspector General issued a report that was widely critical of VA’s checking procedures over several decades.
