Priya Sheriff is the Associate Director of Support Services at the Amputee Coalition, bringing over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit world. Her background includes working closely with military and veteran communities, as well as immigrant and refugee populations—helping individuals build skills, regain confidence, and reconnect with their communities.
At the Amputee Coalition, Priya leads the Information & Referral, Health Care Navigation, and Peer Support teams, ensuring individuals and families receive the guidance and connection they need throughout their limb loss or limb difference journey. She has worked closely with the Department of Defense and the VA’s Amputee System of Care to strengthen support networks for veterans. Priya also launched the Amputee Coalition’s virtual Certified Peer Visitor Training program, expanding access to peer support across the country. Her work combines hands-on case management with program development and volunteer coordination, all driven by a deep commitment to community and connection. Priya is passionate about creating spaces where people feel supported, heard, and empowered.
She holds a BA in Liberal Arts with a focus on Education from California State University, Long Beach, and is certified as both a Master Trainer and Master Instructional Designer. Originally from Southern California, Priya now calls Northern Virginia home, where she lives with her spouse and their lovable rescue dog.
