Melissa Jackson has been in Long Term Care over 25 years. Over her tenure, she has served in many capacities; as a Social Worker, Admissions Coordinator and Nursing Home Administrator. Melissa was appointed by Governor James Douglas to serve as the Chief Executive Officer/Administrator of the Vermont Veterans’ Home in 2010. Melissa received her MBA in Healthcare Administration from Franklin Pierce University and is a Fellow with the American College of Health Care Administrators. She is the 1st Vice President of the National Association of State Veterans’ Home, member of the Governor’s Veterans’ Affairs Council, Bennington Rescue Squad Board Member, and an Elizabeth Dole Foundation Fellow. Melissa comes from a military family whose service to our country dates to the Civil War. She is a former Navy Wife and Marine Mom.
