Lisa Red currently serves as the as the Acting Director in the Healthcare Leadership Talent Institute Veterans Health Administration (VHA), her permanent position is Deputy Director. The primary focus of Ms. Red’s career is empowering others and leveraging ideas and opinions to create innovative solutions to the tough problems faced in health care. Ms. Red has availed herself of a variety of career experiences including: Operations Manager Oklahoma City VA Medical Center, Director of Quality for a Health Maintenance Organization, National Program Manager in Infectious Disease for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, VHA National Director Workforce Development, VHA National Director of Diversity and Inclusion and VHA Deputy Director of Health Equity. She obtained her M.S. in Health Administration from the University of Oklahoma and completed her residency with Graduate Health Administration Training Program in VHA. She holds a B.S. in Cytotechnology and an A.S. in Medical Laboratory Technology. Ms. Red obtained certification as a Diversity Professional/Advanced Practitioner through Cornell University and Human Capital Strategist from the Human Capital Institute. She actively volunteers within her church and community. Her dearest time is spent with her husband and son.
