Huanguang "Charlie" Jia, MPH, PhD, is a Research Health Scientist at the VA HSR&D Center of Innovation on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (CINDRR) and a Courtesy Professor with the University of Florida (UF) College of Public Health and Health Professions, Gainesville, FL.

As a senior health services researcher, Dr. Jia's research focus has been on healthcare accessibility, utilization, quality, and health-related outcomes across the continuum of care (acute, post-acute, and long-term care) among Veterans diagnosed with stroke, the leading cause of serious long-term disability and the fourth leading cause of death in the U.S. In addition to his daily research work, Dr. Jia has been serving as a Reviewer on the VA Health Services Research and Development (HSR&D) Scientific Merit Review Board, Core Researcher of the VA Office of Rural Health (ORH) Veterans Rural Health Resource Center (VRHRC), Member of the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System's Scientific Project Committee (NF/SG SPC), and Co-Director of Mentor Care at the Gainesville CINDRR. Previously Dr. Jia served on the UF Institutional Review Board (IRB-01) for nine years and the NF/SGVHS Research and Devlopment Committee (R&DC) for over four years.
