Bill Komiss specializes in the economics of renewable energy and energy efficiency, cost-benefit analysis and statistical analysis. At CNA, he has examined naval training and compatibility, the economic effects of wind, solar and geothermal energy, and the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
Komiss has served as the scientific analyst for the Navy Director of Energy and Environmental Readiness Division and the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Fleet Readiness and Logistics. He is a member of both the American Economic Association and the Economic History Association.
Komiss has a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin.
